This wordpress started out as a Tumblr blog which I first made in January of ’09, which I then imported into this website. That was the longest I’ve ever been able to keep some form of a journal, though most of it was mainly just snippets of things (articles, songs, video posts, quotes) I found interesting and cool, rather than detailed entries. Tumblr managed to stick and this transition has been several months running now.
Home is Twinsburg, Ohio and the fam consists of Mom, Dad, my sister Anna (9 years old), and occasionally Grandma and Grandpa who come stay with us every so often. Coming back is always nice.
I can be a very cheesy and sentimental person. I like to believe the best in people, and that things will ultimately work out in the end, though that may or may not be true. I am obsessed with paper products, like notecards and mini-notebooks which I end up collecting but never use. I enjoy long conversations and heart-to-hearts. My most prized possession is my iPod, which will forever be attached to my ears (it makes me feel like there’s a soundtrack to my life). I’m a very engaged movie/tv show-watcher: if you’re ever with me at the time, beware that you’ll have to endure a commentary of sound effects – gasps, omg’s, laughs out loud, and others. I have the tendency to ask a lot of questions to fill silence. I whole-heartedly believe in enjoying things as they are and not worrying about things that you can’t control. I go through phases of listening to particular songs or playlists on repeat for days on end. I don’t like to wear sunglasses because they discolor everything.
Things I like (my friends can attest to this): stripes (horizontal, not vertical), the color teal, Starbucks coffee, running along the Charles River, photos, Chinese pop music, perfume, dangly earrings, cheesecake, quotations, Grey’s Anatomy, blogging, Harry Potter, lists and bullet points, Chicago.
Things I don’t like: pets, things that crawl (fast, ie bugs), people who don’t signal their blinkers when they turn while driving, people who play their music so loudly that you can hear through their headphones in the library, being erroneously accused of doing just that (as someone who hates it, I am very careful to keep the volume down…), video games (probably because I’m bad at them…).
Updates and additions to come…
